Today we are going to study noun intonation and it's very simple. Here are two examples:

In American English, noun are used to express new information, so they should be stressed. In these two examples, birds, worms, Tom and Jessie express new information, so they should be stressed.
在美式英语中，名词用于传达新信息，所以它们常常重读。上面两个例子中birds，worms，Tom和Jessie传达新信息，所以她们应重读。
