1. 形容词用来修饰名词
a red strawberry

2.形容词可以放在 be 动词之后。
This suit is blue.       
These suits are blue.
  
3. 形容词中的反义词：
tall—short        fat—thin    
young—old       new—old 
 
【形容词比较等级的构成 】
1. 规则变化
 

1. 直接加er, est
long-longer-longest

2. 以不发音的e结尾，加er, est
large-larger-largest

3. 辅音字母加y结尾，改y为i，再加er, est
happy-happier-happiest

4. 重读闭音节单词，双写最后的辅音，再加er, est
fat-fatter-fattest
big-bigger-biggest

5. 多音节和个别双音节，加more , the most
