So far we've been talking about musicals that are mostly singing for the singing's sake. There's also another type of musicals like Once/ Begin Again, the songs are in there for the story's sake. It actually gives the audience more sense of immersion, they would feel like they are in the story, and these unaffected feelings are delivered from the movies to the real world.
