take，spend，cost，pay的用法都可以表示“花费”，但用法不尽相同。



①spend
spend主语必须是人
spend...on/in... on后面加something，in后面加动词的ing形式。spend 可加金钱以及时间。也就是说spend...on sth./spend...in doing当然spend...for sth.也是可以的。
例：⒈I spend three hours on homework. ⒉I spend three hours in doing my homework.

②cost
cost非常简单，就是sth.cost （sb.）另外一种是（doing）sth.cost（sb.）
例：Remembering these new words cost him a lot of time.

③take
它通常用在It takes sb.+时间+to do sth.
例：It takes me an hour to get home.

④pay
pay只能用在金钱上，pay sb. ...for sth还有一种是pay for sb./sth.付...的钱/替...付钱
例：Don't worry，I'll pay for you.
