“Xin Tianyou” is a kind of northern Shaanxi local ballads. It is a form of Han folk songs spread in the vast areas of northwest China which employs both metaphor and analogy.

Northern Shaanxi, a place located in the Loess Plateau, mountains connected with mountains, trenches followed by trenches. The local people of here are used to standing on the slope and calling or talking in a long distance from the bottom of the ditch. For this reason, the voice is often pulled long, so that the rhythm of free evacuation is formed between the length and the high, which naturally influence the musical effects of the Xin Tianyou.

→_→Famen Temple, also known as Fayun Temple, is located in Farmen Town, Fufeng County of Baoji City, Shaanxi Province in China. ←_←

It is known as the ancestor of Guanzhong Tower Temple. Legend said that, the Famen Temple was built in the time of the Ming Emperor of the Eastern Han Dynasty. In Zhou and Wei Dynasty, it was also called “A Yu Wang Temple”. The Sui Dynasty changed its name as “Chengshi Temple”. It was known as the "Royal Temple" because of the placement of Sakyamuni Buddha finger bones and became a Buddhist holy place for the whole country to respect in the early Tang Dynasty.
